Holiday Activities and special events

Sayers Croft Trust runs a wide variety of exciting activities for children. Our holiday activities have something for everyone including outdoor pursuits, nature study and art and craft sessions. We also run fantastic outdoor birthday parties for groups of up to 12 children and there are three monthly youth clubs on an environmental and outdoor theme.


Wildlife Detectives and Camp Cooking- SORRY, NOW FULL
Tuesday 16th February 2010. 10am-3pm

An exciting day following tracks and trails to find animal clues, finding out about wildlife and how how to survive in the wild. Then, because it is pancake day we will cook tin can pancakes and light a campfire for marshmallows

Energy Explorers- SORRY, NOW FULL
Wednesday 17th February 2010. 10am-3pm

A fantastic full day of activities all about energy. We will be making solar and wind powered boats, exploding rockets and taking part in a balloon powered jet race. Find out about renewable energy with fun experiments using our energy garden.

Natural Art
Thursday 17th February 2010. 10am-12pm

Get creative in the outdoors using lots of interesting materials such as wood, clay, feathers and leaves. Make beautiful natural crafts to take home and make giant sculptures in the woods.

An opportunity to try out this most ancient of sports in our indoor range. Suitable for beginners and improvers. Develop your aim and technique then play great games and competitions.

Adventure Challenge- SORRY, NOW FULL
Friday 19th February 2010. 10am-3pm

A fast paced and energetic day on our ropes course, climbing wall, blindfold trail and the brand new challenge course. Climb, swing, scramble, wriggle and work as a team to get around some tricky challenges. Great fun for kids with a taste for adventure.
