Events for Adults and Families

2009

We run regular events for adults including environmental themed walks and talks, basketry and willow courses and special interest events. We also run family activities where adults and children can get together to have fun in the outdoors. Details of current events are listed below.

Family Conservation Mornings
One Saturday a month. 10am-1pm

Our family conservation mornings are a great opportunity to get out into our beautiful local countryside and do something fun, healthy and worthwhile as a whole family. Mums, Dads, Grans, Grandads and children over 7 years are very welcome.

Among the tasks this term we have been invited to help Birtley House Retirement Home create a nature trail area in their Beautiful and extensive grounds that can be used by local schools

Sat 28th November-Scrub clearance from Pitch Hill viewpoint. Meet at the Pitch Hill car park on the road between Ewhurst and Shere.

Natural Christmas Decorations for Families
Friday 4th December 2009

A chance for parents and children to come together and make beautiful natural decorations from materials that can be gathered from the wild. Use willow, holly, pine cones and fir to create unique wreaths, hanging decorations, swags and other creations. Parents and children welcome.

The Sayers Croft Christmas Trail
Sunday 13th December 2009

The highlight of the year at Sayers Croft. A magical trail around the woods and fields meeting some wonderful Christmas characters on the way. At each stop there is a challenge, game of craft for the children to complete and a clue to collect which will lead to someone very special. A wonderful afternoon out for the whole family.
